I pretty much have read bookoo info and reviews on the net, and nearly every bike I have examined, has come up roughly on par with each other, so for the price the LBS have quoted me, The MirraCo is looking the goods. I have pretty much made the decision to go the MirraCo No7, the LBS are placing an order tomorrow and are going to get one sent up.

Will post pics of the new ride plus the young blokes rebuilt ride once all is complete!Ģ.75"? dude, that is incredibly short top tube, you a midget or something lol, no joking mate, I know what you mean. I have even tracked down the lad who brought one of my old race bikes and funnily enough, he still has all the parts ( frame snapped years ago lol ), So I have a set of super short profile cranks to go on it for him! So pretty much all I am doing is stripping the frame back, getting it resprayed, buying some new wheels, repacking the bearings and it should be right to go. Their kid got it given to them as a Xmas present and pretty much destroyed the back wheel and neglected to look after it, so they were throwing it! ( this was in June Last year ) The people who live next to my olds were throwing it out. I am also looking at rebuilding an old GT Mach One for my young bloke. I am looking at riding dirt and park, but sorry to disappoint a lot of people on here who may read this, I am from the old school, so I will be upgrading the seat/seat post combo, gotta have a little padding, not too sure what the go with the new school "ice cream lid" seats and no seat post!!!!Ĭlick to expand.2.75"? dude, that is incredibly short top tube, you a midget or something lol, no joking mate, I know what you mean. I like the look and feel of the Gambino, but am not too keen on going the brakeless route, so it looks like the No7 and the Method are the front runners.

If anyone wants to give me some feedback or other options, feel free, I am on a limited budget of around $700 and am trying for a full cr-mo frame around the 20.8-21" length.Īt the moment, I am looking the Mirraco Gambino, Mirraco No.7 or the Giant Method 00.Īll 3 look the goods as far as a complete bike go, and I know I will draw some crticism off people on here, but I am just not as far into BMX as I used to be and with a growing family, cannot justify spending 2+K on a custom build. After a couple of years off the "little kids bikes", I have decided it was time to get another one.Īt the moment, i am looking at 3 bikes, not building any up, which is extremely unusual for me, but buying complete.
